Time for some magic (running scripts)

You MUST get the treasure before exploring further!

The instructions below explain how to navigate to the cellar and get the treasure. Do this immediately before exploring because running the treasure script (program) sets up important changes in the directories behind the scenes! If you don't get the treasure, then other steps won't work correctly.

✅ Navigate to the cellar!

In each room (directory) there are some programs (executable scripts) you can run. You'll learn more about these later.

✅ Now that you are in the cellar, invoke the treasure program like this:

You can only run the executable treasure script as described if you are IN THE CELLAR! You will find other programs in the other rooms you visit. You can always run them in the same way you run treasure (i.e., if there is a program called gold in your present working directory, you would run it by typing ./gold). The ./ means "look for the program in the current directory". If you type `ls -l` you will be able to see which files are executable scripts (they are color-coded, and have `x` permissions).

When you run treasure, you should see this message. Follow the instructions to add the amulet to your inventory:

You have found an emerald amulet!" To collect treasure, you must have a variable to hold your inventory. Create a variable and add your treasure to it like this: export I=amulet,$I You can always check your wealth with this command: echo $I

Remember, providing the ./ before the word treasure provides the path to the current directory so the operating system knows to look for the command RIGHT HERE. Follow the instructions to keep the amulet. You'll learn more about environment variables later and more about the magic performed here.
Checking and Maintaining your Inventory: In this case, you can add an amulet to your inventory using export I=amulet,$I and you can check your inventory with echo $I. In the future, you will need this command to add new items to your inventory. For example, if you find a fish, you could add it to your inventory with export I=fish,$I. Keep this in mind!
