Smart quotes and gitconfig

Most unix programs expect straight "quotation marks". Word processing programs may automatically substitute smart quotes (which are slightly slanted or curled). If you manage to copy smart quotes into your gitconfig command, it'll fail in interesting ways! So, be careful!
