Carefully read the project instructions below then complete the project at this link in replit code editor.

Line 1: Ask the user to enter the width of a rectangle.

On line 1 add a variable called rectangleWidth followed by a space and an equals sign

*NOTE* make sure you put the string inside of the input() function’s parentheses ( ): input(“your string goes here: “)

The variable rectangleWidth is now equals to any number that the user enters

Line 2. Convert the value of the width into an int( ) data type.

This line of code will make sure that the width entered by the user is an integer or data type

NOTE int() is how the word integer is written in python. An integer or int() is a negative or positive whole number like 300 or -5.

Line 3: Ask the user to enter the length of a rectangle.

1. On line 3 add a variable called rectangleLength followed by a space and an equals sign

2. On the same line add the an input() function

3. Copy and paste the following string inside of the input() function: "Enter the length of a rectangle: "

Line 4. Convert the value of rectangleLength into an int( ) data type.

1. On line 4 add your rectangleLength variable

2. After your rectangleLength variable add an equals sign

3. after the equals sign = Add an int() function:

4. Add the rectangleLength variable inside of the int() function:

This line of code will make sure that the width entered by the user is an integer or data type

Line 5. Calculate the perimeter of the rectangle

1. On line 5 add a variable named perimeter followed by an equals sign.

2. After the equals sign add a space then add parentheses

Line 6. Display the perimeter of the rectangle

Note: remember to submit your project upon completion in replit!
