Bouncing off the Paddles:

Making the ball bounce off the paddles is an easier task since we won't have to manually code the collision like we did above. Pygame comes with a function, colliderect, that tells us when two pygame rectangle objects are touching

rect1.colliderect(rect2)- returns true if rect1 is touching rect2. This is the exact same as

rect2.colliderect(rect1).

But how does this help us check when the ball touches a paddle? The ball is not a pygame rectangle object. However, we can create a hitbox for the ball and use that to check the collision.
