Final Challenge

For this final lesson of Minecraft II, you will make a survival challenge mod on your own that has several different features. The purpose of this mod is to make it more difficult to play survival mode and beat the game.

This mod includes the following disadvantages to the player:

Every time dirt is broken, a random mob will spawn (can be a monster).
Every 30 seconds, a random effect is given to the player.
Every 30-60 seconds, primed TNT will spawn near the player.

These are the advantages for the player:

Running will cause a random block to appear below the player.
There is a 1/100 chance the block the player walks on will turn into gold.
Breaking sand will give the player a random item.

Hints

Disadvantage #1: Unfortunately, Minecraft Education has no "spawn random mob" block, so we'll have to get creative. To spawn a random mob:

1.Pick a random number(random numbers are in the Math category) and save the value in a variable.

2. Use conditionals to determine which kind of mob will spawn. Have at least 5 different possible mobs.

Disadvantage #2: create a function that will give the player a random effect using similar logic to the code above. Use the pause block to wait 30 seconds (30,000 milliseconds) in between each effect.

Advantage #1: To place a random block, you will need to pick a random number from 0 to 252, and then use that number as a block id.

Advantage #2: Pick a number from 1 to 100. If the number is 1, then place a block of gold right below the player's feet. Otherwise, do nothing.

Advantage #3: The hint for advantage #1 teaches you how to pick random blocks. For this mod, you will be giving the player a random item instead of placing one.
