In C#, both while loops and do-while loops are used for repetitive execution of a block of code based on a given condition. The main difference between them is when the condition is evaluated:

While Loop: In a while loop, the condition is checked before the execution of the loop body. If the condition is true, the loop body is executed. If the condition is false initially, the loop body is skipped entirely.

Here's the syntax for a while loop:

while (condition) { //Code to be executed repeatedly }

In the while loop, the condition is an expression that is evaluated before each iteration. If the condition is true, the loop body is executed. After each iteration, the condition is evaluated again, and the loop continues until the condition becomes false.

Here's an example of a while loop that counts from 1 to 5:

int count = 1; while (count <= 5) { Console.WriteLine(count); count++; }

Expected output: 1 2 3 4 5

Do-While Loop: In a do-while loop, the condition is checked after the execution of the loop body. This means that the loop body will always execute at least once, even if the condition is false.

Here's the syntax for a do-while loop:

do { // Code to be executed repeatedly } while (condition);

In the do-while loop, the loop body is executed first, and then the condition is evaluated. If the condition is true, the loop body is executed again. This process continues until the condition becomes false.

Here's an example of a do-while loop that asks the user for input until they enter a positive number: int number; do { Console.WriteLine("Enter a positive number:"); number = Convert.ToInt32(Console.ReadLine()); } while (number <= 0);

In this example, the loop will keep asking for input until the user enters a positive number.

Both while loops and do-while loops are essential constructs in programming that allow you to repeat code execution based on certain conditions. You can choose between them based on your specific requirements and whether you want the loop body to execute at least once or not.
