What are some of the main points of Jenkinson and Chappel 2018: Section 2.24 Artifacts?
Instructor solution
For me, the main point is that there are artifacts in MRI scans, and these artifacts sometimes render a scan unusable. The authors provide pictures of scan artifacts and recommend actions depending on how serious the artifact is. Crucially, you need to learn to recognize when there is a problem and you need to look at your data right away when it comes from the scanner so you can develop a good eye for problems.
